On behalf of the Indian team, young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has played a stormy innings of 76* runs with the help of 9 fours and three sixes in 70 balls till the end of the first day’s play.
The first Test between India and England has started at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. By the end of play on the first day of the first Test, host India had scored 119 runs losing 1 wicket in 23 overs. Talking about England, they scored 246 runs after losing all the wickets in their first innings.
Let us tell you, England had made a very good start in this match but till lunch the team lost 3 wickets for 108 runs in 28 overs. Apart from Ben Stokes, experienced batsman Joe Root contributed 29 runs while Jonny Bairstow played a valuable inning of 37 runs. Ben Duckett played a brilliant inning of 35 runs.
For India, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets each while Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel took two wickets each.

Captain Rohit Sharma once again failed to score big and was out on 24 runs. Shubman Gill has also scored 14* runs so far.
