The first Test between India and England has started at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. By the end of play on the first day of the first Test, host India had scored 119 runs losing 1 wicket in 23 overs. Talking about England, they scored 246 runs after losing all the wickets in their first innings.

Let us tell you, England had made a very good start in this match but till lunch the team lost 3 wickets for 108 runs in 28 overs. Till lunch, Ravichandran Ashwin took two wickets for India while Ravindra Jadeja took 1 wicket. After this, the second session of the game was entirely in the name of the Indian team.

In the second session of the first day, the Indian team allowed England to score only 107 runs and sent five of their batsmen back to the pavilion. By the end of the second session, England had scored only 215 runs after losing eight wickets in 59 overs. Till this session, for the Indian team, Jasprit Bumrah had taken one wicket, Ravichandran Ashwin had taken two wickets, Axar Patel had also taken two wickets and Ravindra Jadeja had taken 3 wickets.

The Indian team also won the third session of the game. They first all out England for 246 runs and then scored 119 runs after losing one wicket at the end of the first day’s play.

Let us tell you, for England, captain Ben Stokes batted very well and scored 70 runs in 88 balls with the help of six fours and three sixes. In this match, England had made a very good start but the Indian spinners gave a tremendous comeback to the hosts. Apart from Ben Stokes, experienced batsman Joe Root contributed 29 runs while Jonny Bairstow played a valuable inning of 37 runs. Ben Duckett played a brilliant inning of 35 runs.

For India, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets each while Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel took two wickets each.

In response, the young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal from the Indian team played a stormy innings of 76* runs with the help of 9 fours and three sixes in 70 balls till the end of the first day’s play. Captain Rohit Sharma once again failed to score big and was out on 24 runs. Shubman Gill has also scored 14* runs so far.
