Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his best wishes to fast bowler Mohammed Shami after he underwent Achilles tendon surgery in London on Monday, February 26. Modi expressed confidence in Shami’s ability to recover quickly from this injury. Shami, who has not played cricket since India’s loss to Australia in the 2023 ODI World Cup final, was injured during the same tournament.
