Rahane has given information about opening a cricket academy through a post on his official X account today on Monday, 23 September. In this post, Rahane wrote- Thank you to Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Eknath Shinde ji, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis ji, Shri Ajit Pawar and BCCI Treasurer Ashish Shelar for supporting my vision of a world class cricket academy and sports facility in Mumbai.

This academy will empower young players with top-notch facilities and guidance, and foster the next generation of champions in the city where my cricketing journey began. Grateful for your encouragement and leadership that inspires a brighter future for Maharashtra.

Rahane will lead the Mumbai team in the Irani Cup

It is worth noting that Ajinkya Rahane will be seen leading Mumbai in the upcoming Irani Cup. The tournament will be played from 1 to 5 October at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in the city.
