The Indian team is currently playing a three-match T20 series against Afghanistan at home. In this T20 series, the Indian team has played two matches so far and has won both. Akshar Patel has taken two wickets for 23 runs and two wickets for 16 runs in the first two T20s. Not only in the bowling rankings but he has also reached 16th position in the ICC T20 all-rounder list.
Young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal batted brilliantly in the second T20 match played in Indore and played a stormy innings of 68 runs in 34 balls. Because of this innings, Jaiswal has now reached the sixth position in the ICC men’s batting rankings, whereas due to Shivam Dubey’s two half-centuries in the two T20 matches against Afghanistan, he has now reached the 58th position. Not only this, New Zealand’s young opener Finn Allen has now reached 16th position in the ICC T20 batting rankings, while Tim Southee has achieved 18th position in the bowling rankings. Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi has reached 54th position in the batting rankings while Najibullah Zadran has achieved 46th position.
Pakistan batsman Babar Azam scored consecutive half-centuries in the first two T20 matches against New Zealand and that is why he is now at fourth position. Fakhar Zaman has secured 81st position in the batting rankings while Kane Williamson has been ranked 59th. Daryl Mitchell is ranked 37th.
