Recently, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed five former players as mentors for domestic cricket’s Champions One Day Cup 2024. This new mentorship scheme of PCB is going to cost a total of 5 million and the estimated fee of each mentor is said to be Rs 50 lakh.

PCB has selected former players Shoaib Malik, Waqar Younis, Misbah-ul-Haq, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Saqlain Mushtaq for the post of mentor of five domestic cricket teams. On the other hand, now former Pakistani fast bowler Tanveer Ahmed has raised sharp questions on the appointment of these former players as mentors. The former cricketer feels that they are not worth such a huge fee.

Let us tell you that regarding the mentorship scheme launched by PCB for domestic teams, Tanvir Ahmed wrote through a post on his official x account – Waqar Younis, Sarfraz Ahmed, Misbah-ul-Haq, Shoaib Malik, Saqlain Mushtaq are all being given 50 lakhs as mentors. That means their level is such that they are being given 50 lakhs.
