Former cricketer Michael Atherton says that Andy Flower should be reappointed as the head coach of England. During Andy Flower’s tenure, England won the T20 World Cup 2010, and also became the number-1 team in the Test format. However, despite the success, Flower did not want to remain the coach, because during his tenure many players were not happy with the tough training sessions.

Flower transformed the Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League, won the Abu Dhabi T10, led St Lucia to its first CPL final, and won the Hundred with Trent Rockets. Andy Flower’s ability as a coach in various tournaments around the world is evident to everyone. He has all the skills required for white ball cricket.

Andy Flower is also the head coach of IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore. Michael Atherton also says that international cricket is usually stopped during the IPL and if Flower wants, he can coach in India as it will help him learn the new trends of T20 cricket.

The demand for international jobs has gone down compared to earlier, and Flower’s IPL commitments could be an issue. However, there is no international cricket during the IPL window and participation in the IPL will help him learn the new trends of T20 cricket.
