By taking five wickets, Ashwin has broken the record of Australia’s star spinner Nathan Lyon for taking the most five-wicket hauls in the history of the World Test Championship (WTC).

In 43 matches for Australia, Lyon has taken five wickets 10 times, while Ashwin now holds the record of taking 11 five-wicket hauls in 36 WTC matches for India.
