The much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) between India and Australia is going to start from 22nd November. The first match will be played at Optus Stadium in Perth. This series is going to be very important from the point of view of India making it to the final of the World Test Championship (WTC).

On the other hand, during this series, Indian cricket team’s experienced spinner Ravichandran Ashwin can make a special and historic world record in his name. If Ashwin achieves this special record, he can become the first bowler in the world to do so.

Ashwin currently has 194 wickets, leaving behind Australian legend Nathan Lyon (187). If Ashwin takes 6 more wickets in the BGT series against Australia, he can become the first bowler in the world to create a world record of taking 200 Test wickets in the WTC.

It will be interesting to see when and how soon Ashwin can achieve this record in this series. Also, let us tell you that captain Rohit Sharma will not be able to play in the first match of this series due to the birth of his second child. In place of Rohit, vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah is going to be seen commanding the team.
