Asia Cup 2025: Last year, the Indian team led by Rohit Sharma won the Asia Cup by defeating Sri Lanka in the final. Now important information related to Asia Cup 2025 has come to light. India will host Asia Cup 2025 before the 2026 T20 World Cup. The special thing is that this tournament will be in T20 format.

Although the dates have not been finalised yet, sources have indicated that it could be held sometime in September after the monsoon season ends in the country. Bangladesh will then host the Asia Cup 2027. The tournament will be held in the ODI format.

India will host Asia Cup 2025

According to reports, India will host the 2025 Men’s Asia Cup. This tournament will be played in T20 format. 6 teams will participate in it. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and the sixth team will be decided from the qualifying round.

Both these tournaments will be held before the 2026 T20 World Cup and the 2027 ODI World Cup respectively. Both these editions will have 13-13 league matches. ‘Jasprit Bumrah is a joke’ – shocking statement of former English bowler after Perth Test

Bumrah took 8 wickets in both the innings of that Test match and for this he was chosen Player of the Match. In the match, India achieved a spectacular victory within four days and took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series. After seeing the brilliant bowling in that match, former England cricket team fast bowler Steven Finn has praised Jasprit Bumrah’s performance in the first Test match against Australia. Finn praised him a lot and even said that he is the best player in the world. Speaking with former England captain Alastair Cook on TNT Sports, Steven Finn said, “Jaiswal scored a brilliant 161, but he is the player I like to watch. That is Jasprit Bumrah. I think he really is the best player in the world. Honestly, sometimes I think bowling like him is a joke! You see him bowling and you just think, I’m glad I don’t have to come out to bat.” He further said, “I was surprised that India went there (Australia) and defeated Australia, where usually it is very difficult to go and play cricket. Perth, I know it’s not the WACA; I know it’s a new stadium, but still, historically, Australia hasn’t lost many matches there. I thought India performed very bravely there.” Let us tell you that, Bumrah now has 118 wickets in 27 Test matches in SENA countries at an impressive average of 22.55, which also includes his career best performance (6/33). During this period, he has taken five wicket hauls 7 times, which is equal to Kapil Dev. They are followed by BS Chandrashekhar and Zaheer Khan (six each), and Bishan Singh Bedi and Anil Kumble (five each).
