It is also associated with the McGrath Foundation. Former Australian player Glenn McGrath lost his wife due to breast cancer.
The purpose behind the Pink Test is to spread awareness about breast cancer. Glenn McGrath started the McGrath Foundation in 2005 after his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. The first Pink Test took place between Australia and South Africa in 2009, a year after the death of Glenn McGrath’s wife Jane. The Pink Test match between Australia and Pakistan will be its 16th edition.

Australia has played 15 Pink Test matches so far, out of which the team has won 8 and drawn 6 matches. Australia has lost the Pink Test match only once so far, that too against England.
