In the third and final ODI match played at Manuka Oval, Canberra on 6 February, Australia defeated West Indies by eight wickets and won the three-match ODI series 3–0. In this ODI series, all the players from Australia performed very well and played an important role in the victory of their team.

Former Australian cricketer Mark Waugh has given a big statement regarding the dismissal of West Indies’ young opening batsman Kjorn Ottley in the third ODI. Let us tell you, in the third ODI match, Kjorn Ottley failed to bat well and was out after scoring 8 runs with the help of 2 fours in 7 balls. His wicket was taken by Xavier Bartlett.

Kjorn Ottley was trying to hit a ball from Xavier Bartlett hard in the third over but the ball hit his bat and went straight to the batsman’s pad. The hosts appealed for LBW against the West Indies opener and the umpire gave him out. The biggest mistake Kjorn Ottley made was that he did not ask for DRS and he returned to the pavilion without saying anything.

Australia won the ODI series

In the third ODI, West Indies, batting first, scored only 86 runs after losing all the wickets. On behalf of the team, Alick Athanaze scored 32 runs with the help of two fours in 60 balls while Roston Chase contributed 12 runs. Keacy Carty scored 10 runs. Apart from these three batsmen, no other batsman could cross the 10-run mark.

Australia won this match by 8 wickets. For the hosts, Jake Fraser-McGurk scored 41 runs in 18 balls with the help of five fours and three sixes while Josh Inglis contributed 35* runs. The three-match ODI series between these two teams has ended and now the three-match T20 series between the two teams is starting from February 9.
