Babar Azam Match Fixing Controversy: Pakistan cricket is once again embroiled in a new controversy. Pakistan, the runner-up of the last T20 World Cup, was eliminated in the first round of the tournament. The team faced a humiliating defeat against the US in the Super Over in the very first match and then suffered a defeat against India. After this, they did defeat Canada and Ireland but the team failed to qualify for the Super 8.
Now Pakistan is being criticized for the performance of the team and meanwhile Pakistan captain Babar Azam has been accused of match fixing. Babar Azam is being accused of fixing the match against America.
A video is going viral on social media in Pakistan, in which it is being said that Babar Azam has received expensive gifts from America after Pakistan’s defeat to America. This allegation has been made by senior Pakistani journalist Mubashir Luqman. A video of him with these allegations is going viral on social media.
In this video, Lukman accused Pakistan captain Babar Azam of accepting expensive gifts for losing the match against America. This was Pakistan’s first match in this T20 World Cup and due to the draw, the match was decided by playing a super over and Pakistan lost the match here.
Big allegation on Babar of buying Audi car and house in Dubai!
Luqman said his suspicions grew after losing to the USA and winning the match against Ireland. Luqman claims Babar received an Audi car from a bookmaker, which he says is a gift from his brother. He said Babar’s Audi e-tron was purchased from suspected bookies, while he also received apartments in Australia and Dubai.
In the viral video, Mubashir Luqman is seen saying, “A few days ago I saw that Babar has an Audi e-tron car, which is a very good car. Babar Azam said that this car has been given by my brother. Then I thought that Babar’s brother must be doing some big work, that’s why he is gifting a car worth Rs 7-8 crore. But when I inquired, I came to know that Babar’s brother was not doing any such thing.”
Mubashir said, “So I wondered where did this car (Audi) come from? If we lose in America, the car will not come. If you lose to Afghanistan, lose to Netherlands, lose to Ireland, you will not get a house in DHA. You will not get plots in Australia, you will not get apartments in Dubai… then who will get it?” Saying this, the senior Pakistani journalist targeted the team fiercely. Along with this, speaking further, he also criticized Shaheen Shah Afridi.

A user named Cric Mate has uploaded this video of Lukman, in which he has made these serious allegations against Babar Azam. This video is now going viral on social media and has once again made the Pakistan cricket team a topic of discussion.
Luqman has been banned
In 2014, he interviewed a Pakistani businessman who had settled abroad. After this interview, Lukman was banned from TV for life. Mushabbir Lukman was also sentenced to two years in prison in 2022. Anwar Aziz, father of Pakistan Muslim League leader Daniyal, had filed a defamation case against Lukman.
