Babar Azam continued his fine form in the new Champions One-Day Cup tournament, smashing fours on five consecutive balls off pacer Shahnawaz Dahani in Faisalabad on Sunday 15 September.
Pakistan batsman Babar Azam has been struggling with poor form for some time, and due to this he is being criticized a lot. At present, the situation is such that he may lose his place in the team because the Pakistan Cricket Board is engaged in ‘surgery’ of the team. Actually, the board wants to remove the players who are playing poorly and in such a situation it is looking for new players.
To identify the talent of the players, a domestic tournament ‘One-Day Cup 2024’ is being played in Pakistan. From big to small cricketers of the Pakistan team are participating in this tournament. Meanwhile, everyone’s eyes are on Babar Azam. Why not, because the sword of being dropped from the team is hanging over his neck.
Babar Azam gave signs of returning to form, hit 5 consecutive boundaries
Babar Azam continued his excellent form in the new Champions One-Day Cup tournament, hitting fours on five consecutive balls off fast bowler Shahnawaz Dahani in Faisalabad on Sunday 15 September. The team needed 232 runs to win against the Markhors. After the early setback, Babar came out to bat early for the Stallions with the score at 13/1 in the fifth over.
After scoring 5 runs off 10 balls, Pakistan’s white-ball captain went on a rampage in Dahani’s first over. After a dot at the start of the over, Babar hit boundaries to all parts of the ground off the next five balls, sending the packed house into a frenzy.
