Commonwealth Games 2026: Bad news is coming for cricket fans. Let us tell you that the game of cricket has been excluded from the Commonwealth Games to be held in the year 2026. It is noteworthy that this time these games will be played in Glasgow city of Scotland between 23 July to 2 August.
Also, let us tell you that apart from cricket, 10 more sports have been excluded from the Commonwealth Games. Earlier in the year 2022, the game of cricket was included in the games held in Hangzhou, China, but this time cricket will not be seen in the upcoming Commonwealth Games.
Apart from this, no specific reason has been given behind the exclusion of cricket from CWG 2026. However, Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) CEO Katie Sadleir recently came forward and described the 2026 CWG as an important step forward for the future of the Games.
