In the third and final ODI match played in Chattogram, host Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by four wickets. This match was played today i.e. on 18th March at Zahoor Ahmed Chaudhary Stadium in Chattogram. After winning the toss, Sri Lanka batted first and scored 235 runs losing all the wickets.

Janith Liyanage batted very well for Sri Lanka and played an unbeaten inning of 101 runs. In reply, Bangladesh achieved the target of 236 runs within 41 overs. For Bangladesh, Rishad Hussain played an unbeaten inning of 48 runs in 18 balls while Tanzid Hasan made an important contribution of 84 runs.

With this, Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka 2-1 in the three-match ODI series. Apart from Janith Liyanage, no other batsman from Sri Lanka could bat well in this match. Charith Asalanka scored 37 runs while captain Kusal Mendis contributed 29 runs. Wanindu Hasaranga scored 11 runs.

In this match for Bangladesh, Taskin Ahmed took three wickets after seeing 42 runs in 10 overs while Mustafizur Rahman and Mehdi Hasan Miraj took 2 wickets each. Soumya Sarkar and Rishad Hussain took one wicket each.

Bangladesh won the ODI series

Bangladesh team, which came to chase the target of 236 runs, had a very good start but they lost two wickets in consecutive intervals. Anamul Haq could score only 12 runs in this match while captain Nazmul Hasan Shanto scored only one run. Young batsman Towhid Hridoy contributed 22 runs while experienced batsman Mushfiqur Rahim scored 37*. Mehdi Hasan Miraj scored 25 runs.

For Sri Lanka, Lahiru Kumara took four wickets for 48 runs in 8 overs. Not only this, Wanindu Hasaranga took 2 wickets for 64 runs in 9 overs. Let us tell you, the first match was won by Bangladesh while the second was won by Sri Lanka. Now Bangladesh won in the third match.
