Bangladesh may host South Africa’s two-match Test series in October, read the big news


Due to bad political situation, Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 has been shifted from Bangladesh to UAE.

If everything goes well, Bangladesh can host the two-match Test series of South Africa cricket team next month. This Test series will be a part of the World Test Championship (WTC). So the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) official has also given information about this series.

However, this tour has not been formally announced yet. But still, if sources are to be believed, South Africa can be seen playing two Test matches at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka and Zahur Ahmed Chaudhry Stadium, Chittagong.

Also, before formally announcing the tour, the Bangladesh Cricket Board will hold a meeting with the South African Cricketers Association (SACA) and discuss in detail. Apart from this, there are no security issues regarding this tour of South Africa. At the same time, this tour is also expected to happen because till now the South African government has not imposed any ban on travel to Bangladesh.

A source close to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) told Cricbuzz today, September 13, “We hope that the tour will start as per schedule and we will make an official announcement in the coming days.”

Women’s T20 World Cup shifted to UAE

It is worth noting that due to the bad political situation in the past, the ICC has shifted the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 to be hosted by Bangladesh to the UAE. At the same time, New Zealand A’s tour of Bangladesh has also been rescheduled.

So now Bangladesh will tour India from 19 September. On this tour, Bangladesh will be seen playing two Test matches and three T20 matches. The first Test match between India and Bangladesh will be played in Chennai.
