The ODI series between these two teams is starting from October 24.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the Indian women’s team today i.e. on October 17 for the three-match ODI series to be played at home against New Zealand. The ODI series between these two teams is starting from October 24. All these three matches will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
In the currently being played ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, the Indian team failed to show good performance and that is why it could not make its place in the playoffs of this important tournament. However, Team India would definitely like to win the upcoming ODI series. Harmanpreet Kaur will be seen captaining the Indian women’s team in the ODI series against New Zealand while Smriti Mandhana has been appointed as the vice-captain.
Not only this, some players have got a place in Team India for the first time. Tejal Hasbanis, Sayali Satgare, Priya Mishra and Saima Thakor have been included in Team India. Richa Ghosh has removed herself from the upcoming ODI series as she has her 12th board exams. Asha Shobhana is currently injured and excellent fast bowler Pooja Vastrakar has been rested.
Here is the Indian women’s team for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand:

Let us tell you that the first ODI between Team India and New Zealand will be played on 24th October while the second ODI match will be played on 27th October. The third and final ODI match between the two teams will be played on October 29. All three matches will start at 1:30 pm Indian time. This series is a part of the ICC Women’s ODI Championship 2022-25.
For quite some time, Team India has failed to show good performance in international women’s cricket. Not only this, questions are also being raised on the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur. However, forgetting all these things for the time being, the Indian women’s team will focus on winning the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand.
