Today, on 13 July, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revised the schedule of India’s tour of Sri Lanka and now this tour is starting from 27 July instead of 26 July. Let us tell you, India will play a three-match T20 and three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka in this tour.

The ODI team will be captained by another captain while the T20 team captaincy can be given to Hardik Pandya. Rohit Sharma has retired from the T20 format after the end of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The first T20 match will be played on July 27 while the second match will be on July 28. The third and final T20 will be played on July 30. All matches will be played in Pallekele.

The ODI series will start on August 2 while its second match will be played on August 4. The third and final match will be played on August 7. Only the date of this schedule has changed but the venue will remain the same.

KL Rahul can be seen captaining the ODI team

A top source in the Board of Control for Cricket in India had earlier told India Today that KL Rahul could get the ODI team captaincy. He had also said that the captaincy of the T20 and ODI teams will be given to two different players.

The source also said that if Hardik Pandya is not available for the T20 format, then Suryakumar Yadav can also get the captaincy of this format. But at this time Hardik and KL Rahul will take charge of the team.
