BCCI has imposed this fine on Ramandeep Singh for violating the IPL code of conduct. BCCI has imposed a fine of 20 percent of the match fee on Ramandeep. During the match played between KKR and Mumbai Indians in Kolkata, BCCI has taken this strict step against the Kolkata batsman.

The media release issued by the IPL states, “Kolkata Knight Riders’ Ramandeep Singh has been fined a match fee for violating the IPL Code of Conduct during the 60th match of IPL 2024 against Mumbai Indians at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on May 11. A fine of 20 percent has been imposed. “Ramandeep committed a Level 1 offense under Article 2.20 of the IPL Code of Conduct.”
The press release further stated that Ramandeep Singh admitted his crime and also accepted the sanction of the match referee. The match referee’s decision for a Level 1 breach of the Code of Conduct is final and binding. In such a situation, Ramandeep Singh will have to pay 20 percent of the match fee to the board. However, it is not yet clear why this fine has been imposed on Ramandeep Singh. There will be no hearing in this case.
It is worth noting that, under Article 2.20 of the IPL Code of Conduct, if you are found doing anything contrary to the spirit of the game, then action can be taken against you. However, match watchers believe that he did not do anything due to which action has been taken against him.
