A BCCI source was quoted by the Indian Express as saying, “Last year too, BCCI had received such feedback where many fake people had applied and this time too the story is the same. The reason BCCI is inviting applications on Google Form is that it is easy to check the names of the applicants in a sheet. The names of the applicants also include Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah, former Indian cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni.”
