After a poor performance in the first Test match against England, the team management decided to drop Babar. In place of Babar, Kamran Ghulam was included in the team, who confirmed his place in the Test team by scoring a century in his debut match. This is not a good sign for Babar Azam in red ball cricket. On the other hand, apart from Test, Babar’s bat is not working in T20 also. Babar has been able to score only 6 runs in the two T20 matches played against Australia. So in the ODI series that ended before the T20 series, Babar’s performance was 37, 15* and 28* runs. Apart from this, Babar has also not been included in the Pakistani team for the upcoming white series against Zimbabwe. Now that the Champions Trophy 2025 is very close, and Babar not being able to perform for the Pakistani team in the white ball format, it may become a headache for the PCB in the future.
