Ben Stokes has been ruled out of the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka due to injury.
England Test captain Ben Stokes suffered a hamstring injury while batting during the match between Manchester Originals and Northern Superchargers in The Hundred. Due to this injury, Stokes has been ruled out of the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, recently a sports journalist has accused Ben Stokes of prioritizing The Hundred over county cricket through social media. Stokes has become very angry with the behavior of the journalist and has reprimanded him by tweeting.
I have played 3 Championship games for Durham this year- Ben Stokes
Sports journalist Scott Wilson wrote about Ben Stokes on social media,
So Ben Stokes isn’t allowed to play any county cricket for Durham during the summer, but he could still mess around in the circus that is The Hundred, where he injured his hamstring and is now out of action for the entire summer season.
Ben Stokes gave a strong reply to Wilson and reminded him that he had played three championship games for Durham. Stokes tweeted,
Chief Sports Writer???I played in 3 championship games for Durham this year.
