Team India has to play a 5-match Test series against Australia, which is starting from November 22 in Perth. However, before the first test match, a big report is coming out regarding Indian team captain Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma may miss the Perth Test due to personal reasons.

According to Gaurav Gupta of The Times of India, Rohit Sharma will not travel with Team India for the first match of the series. On November 11, at 9 am Indian time, the team will hold a press conference in Mumbai and then leave for Australia. Rohit Sharma and head coach Gautam Gambhir will participate in this press conference but the captain of the Indian team will not travel with the team.

Let us tell you that Rohit Sharma has not been able to perform well in Tests for some time. Recently, Team India played a three-match Test series against New Zealand. New Zealand won this test series 3-0. Apart from Rohit Sharma, other Indian batsmen also failed to leave their mark in this Test series. However, if Team India wants to secure its place in the final of the World Test Championship, then they will have to win the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 against Australia by a big margin. It is very important for them to win at least four matches in this test series.

In the unavailability of Rohit Sharma, vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah can be seen captaining Team India in the first Test against Australia. If this happens, there will be a lot of pressure on Jasprit Bumrah to win the match for his team.

This is the Indian team for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25:

Rohit Sharma (captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Sarfaraz Khan, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Dhruv Jurel (wicketkeeper), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah (vice-captain), Mohammed Siraj. , Akash Deep, Prasidh Krishna, Harshit Rana, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Washington Sundar.
