Both Australia and India teams are currently seen preparing for the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 Test series. It is noteworthy that in November this year, India will be touring Australia for a five-match Test series. This tour will start from November 22 with the first match to be held in Perth.

Let us tell you that regarding Steve Smith’s playing in the middle order during BGT, George Bailey quoted ESPN Cricinfo as saying – Pat Cummins, Andrew McDonald and Steve Smith were anyway continuously talking about Cameron Green’s untimely injury, and I think Steve expressed his desire to withdraw from that opening position.

Pat and Andrew have confirmed they will return to the middle order for the summer. So yes, clearly we have found a relevant name to fill the number 4 spot.
