India defeated Australia by 295 runs in the first Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. On the strength of century innings by Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli, India had set a target of 534 runs for Australia. The host team was all out for 238 runs and India has taken a 1-0 lead in the series.
During the Perth Test, fans got to see the rivalry between Mohammed Siraj and Marnus Labuschagne. Labuschagne was having trouble scoring runs and Siraj was hitting him with bouncers. Siraj was also seen staring at the Australian batsman and a war of words was also seen between the two.
Marnus Labuschagne was out after scoring 2 runs in 52 balls against Siraj in the first innings of the Perth Test. At the same time, he was out LBW by Jasprit Bumrah in the second innings. Meanwhile, recently Mohammed Siraj gave a big statement regarding the battle with Labuschagne. The fast bowler says that he enjoyed bowling against Marnus a lot because he was playing under pressure.

I really liked bowling to Marnus, I enjoyed the battle because he was playing under a lot of pressure. He tries to leave a lot of balls rather than trying to play them. He defends himself and tries to show that he is confident. That’s not really confidence. And my confidence is always high (laughs)
Let us tell you, before the match against India, Marnus Labuschagne was in dangerous form. He had scored more than 500 runs in the last three matches at an average of 105, which included a double century and a century.
