Team India’s star fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been away from cricket for the last several months due to injury. Meanwhile, a big report has come out regarding his return. It is expected that Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami will return to competitive cricket with the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy. It is believed that he will represent Bengal in one of his first two matches against Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
Since there is only a two-day gap between the matches, it does not seem possible for him to play in both the matches. It has also been reported that if his recovery is good as per the BCCI standards, Shami may well make a comeback to international cricket for the upcoming series against New Zealand. The Kiwi team will tour India for a three-match Test series starting in mid-October.
Given Shami’s recovery speed, he is expected to play in at least one of the three Test matches against the Kiwi team before Rohit Sharma and Co. begin their tour for the Border-Gavaskar series. Let us tell you that in November, India has to play a five-match Test series against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar series.
