T20 World Cup 2024 will be played jointly hosted by West Indies and America from June 1.
BCCI has announced the 15-member Indian team for T20 World Cup 2024 on April 30. Rohit Sharma will captain the team, while Hardik Pandya will play the role of vice-captain. Meanwhile, big reports are coming out that Team India will leave for USA in two batches for the tournament.
According to the report of Cricbuzz, after the end of the IPL league phase, the first batch will leave for America with head coach Rahul Dravid and support staff on May 21. Then after the IPL final, the second batch team will go to USA.
ICC is making big preparations
According to reports, a camp will be organized in New York before the start of the tournament, for which the ICC is arranging practice facilities at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, 30 km from Manhattan. Where there will be about six drop in practice pitches for the team.
Team India has to play three league matches in T20 World Cup 2024 in New York. The team will play the first match against Ireland on June 5. Then on June 9, it will face Pakistan and on June 12, it will face host America.
England Board has given this order to its players playing IPL
The England Cricket Board has ordered its players participating in IPL 2024 to return to the country before May 22. That means English players will not be available for their franchise for the IPL 2024 playoffs. Before the T20 World Cup, the England team will play a four-match T20 series against Pakistan from May 21.
Fans have strongly criticized the decision of the England Board, as it may cause losses to the franchises. IPL Qualifier-1 match will be played on May 21, Eliminator- May 22 and Qualifier-2 match will be played on May 24. The IPL final will be played in Chepauk on 26th May.
