If Pakistan withdraws its name from the tournament or rejects the proposal of hybrid model, then its hosting can be handed over to India.
There is an uproar regarding the organization of ICC Champions Trophy. Pakistan Cricket Board has refused the proposal of hybrid model if India does not come to Pakistan for the tournament. For this reason, speculations about shifting of Champions Trophy out of Pakistan are gaining momentum.
Now the matter has taken a different turn. PCB is adamant on organizing the tournament in Pakistan only. Meanwhile, according to reports, the ICC has refused to allow the PCB to take the Champions Trophy tour to any disputed part of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.
Earlier the report claimed that if Pakistan withdraws its name from the tournament or rejects the proposal of hybrid model, then its hosting could be handed over to India. The possibility of hosting the Champions Trophy in South Africa was also being explored, but the SA20 would end a few days before the Champions Trophy and the pitches would not be repaired in time.

Organizing of Champions Trophy in Pakistan is in trouble
Let us tell you that since the Mumbai terrorist attack in 2008, Team India has not gone to play any match or series in Pakistan. Apart from this, no bilateral series has been played between the two teams for more than a decade. They are seen playing against each other only in ICC and ACC events.
On the other hand, Pakistan is going to organize an ICC tournament for the first time in 29 years. But due to India’s stance it is still delayed. Veterans say that a solution should be found regarding hosting, otherwise the event may be in trouble. Now it remains to be seen whether the Pakistan Cricket Board remains firm on its decision or adopts some flexibility.
