Talking about the match, South African captain Rassie van der Dussen batted brilliantly and played a valuable innings of 51 runs in 31 balls with the help of 1 four and 5 sixes. Apart from him, Wiaan Mulder contributed 36 runs while Quinton de Kock scored 19 runs. For West Indies, Obed McCoy took three wickets for 39 runs in four overs. Gudakesh Moti took two wickets while Shamar Joseph also took 2 wickets.

In reply, the hosts won the match by eight wickets. Johnson Charles played a match-winning innings of 69 runs for the team.
