Former West Indies batsman Brian Lara believes that his personal world record score of 400 runs in Tests can be broken by Indian team’s young players Yashasvi Jaiswal or Shubman Gill. Brian Lara played an unbeaten record-breaking innings of 400 runs against England in Antigua on 12 April 2004.

During this innings, he broke Matthew Hayden’s record score of 380 runs against Zimbabwe. Brian Lara is considered one of the best players in the world. Not only this, Brian Lara also said that earlier his record of 400 runs was challenged by Sanath Jayasuriya, Chris Gayle and Virender Sehwag but no one could break it.

The former West Indies batsman told The Daily Mail, ‘Even in my time, there were some players who challenged me and crossed the 300-run mark. Virender Sehwag, Chris Gayle, Sanath Jayasuriya and Inzamam-ul-Haq all crossed the 300-run mark.
