Hyderabad has won a one-sided match against Chhattisgarh.
Hyderabad won the Buchi Babu Tournament 2024 in a one-sided match against Chhattisgarh by 243 runs. Rahul Singh-led Hyderabad defeated Chhattisgarh in the final match with both bat and ball.
Talking about the match, Hyderabad batted first and scored 417 runs in the first innings. In the first innings, opener Abhirath M scored 85 runs and Rohith Rayudu scored a brilliant innings of 155 runs for the team.
Apart from this, wicketkeeper batsman Rahul Radesh scored 48 runs and tailender Aniket Reddy scored 29* runs. After this, looking at the batsmen of Chhattisgarh during the match, it seemed that they had forgotten how to bat. Chhattisgarh’s first innings was bowled out very cheaply at just 93 runs.
After this, Hyderabad wrapped up Chhattisgarh’s second innings at 181 runs. Chhattisgarh, led by Amandeep Khare, found it very difficult to face Hyderabad’s bowlers. In the second innings for Hyderabad, Aniket took 4 wickets, while Tanay Thyagarajan and Rohith Rayudu took 3-3 wickets respectively.
After this, Hyderabad came to bat in the second innings and scored 281 runs on the basis of wicketkeeper Rahul’s 41 runs innings and set a target of 517 runs for Chhattisgarh to win in the second innings. But after Chhattisgarh team was all out for 181 runs in the second innings, Hyderabad won the match by a huge margin of 243 runs.
Captain Rahul Singh gave a big statement
So, after winning the match, Hyderabad captain Rahul Singh was quoted by Sportsstar as saying – We wanted to play aggressive cricket and we did so throughout the tournament. We did this in the Plate Group last year, which was a bit easier, but we played against some good teams here. So, this is a good sign for us before the Ranji season.
