Bengal Cricket Association honored Manoj Tiwari on 18 February. Let us tell you, Manoj Tiwari has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Manoj Tiwari played 148 first class matches for Bengal. Not only this, under the captaincy of Manoj Tiwari, Bengal had made its place in the finals of the last season. However, Bengal had to face defeat against Saurashtra in the final.

Manoj Tiwari had decided to retire after facing defeat in the final of last season’s Ranji Trophy but he planned to captain his team for one more year. However, the team finished third in the Elite Group B of Ranji Trophy 2024 and Bengal could not qualify for the knockouts.

Manoj Tiwari played his last match against Bihar after which Bengal Cricket Association President Snehasish Ganguly honored Tiwari with the golden bat and ball Momento. Not only this, Manoj Tiwari also said that he is missing his father a lot and his mother and wife have always encouraged him.

According to News18, Manoj Tiwari said, ‘I am missing my father a lot who passed away in 2017. My mother and my wife have always encouraged me and because of them I am complete.

Manoj Tiwari made his debut for India against Australia in 2008

Let us tell you, Manoj Tiwari made his international debut against Australia in 2008. He has participated in 12 ODIs and three T20Is for the Indian team in which the experienced batsman has scored 287 runs and 15 runs respectively.

Manoj Tiwari thanked all his team as well as senior CAB officials including late Jagmohan Dalmiya, Abhishek Dalmiya and Snehasish Ganguly. Now Manoj Tiwari’s entire focus will be on his political career as the veteran batsman serves as the Minister of State for Youth Services and Sports of Bengal.
