Former legendary fast bowler of Pakistan cricket team Waqar Younis has been appointed as the mentor of the Lions team for the upcoming domestic tournament Champions ODI Cup 2024. Let us tell you that recently the Lions team has gathered at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore for the upcoming tournament.

When the team gathered at the NCA, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) informed Younis that he has been appointed as the mentor of the Lions team. Apart from Waqar, former Pakistani players Misbah-ul-Haq, Shoaib Malik, Sarfaraz Ahmed, and Saqlain Mushtaq have also been appointed as mentors of the other four teams. Misbah will be seen as a mentor in the Wolves team while Shoaib Malik will be seen as a mentor in the Stallions team.

On the other hand, if we tell you about the tournament, it is starting from September 13, 2024. So the Lions team is going to face the Stallions in their first match. It will be worth seeing how the team is going to perform under the mentorship of Waqar Younis in the upcoming tournament?
