The third match of the Pakistan Champions One Day-Cup was played between Panthers and Dolphins on 14 September. After winning the toss and batting first, the Panthers team was all out for 328 runs in 49.4 overs. In response, while chasing the target, the Dolphins were all out for 278 runs in 47 overs and the Panthers won by 50 runs.

Usman Khan played a century innings for Panthers

Batting first against Dolphins, Panthers got a very bad start. Both the openers lost their wickets at a score of just 19. Saim Ayub (6) and Abdul Bangalzai (5) could not play a big innings. After this, there was a partnership of 70 runs for the third wicket between Umar Siddique and Usman Khan. Umar Siddique played an innings of 30 runs. Whereas Usman Khan played an innings of 111 runs in 110 balls with the help of 11 fours and 3 sixes.

Haider Ali (63) and captain Shadab Khan (65) also made important contributions, due to which the team was able to put a total of 328 runs on the board. For the Dolphins, Usman Qadir took the maximum of 3 wickets for 63 runs in 7.4 overs. Meanwhile, Mir Hamza and Abbas Afridi took 2-2 wickets each.

Mohammad Hasnain took 5 wicket haul

While chasing the target of 329 runs against the Panthers, the Dolphins got off to a good start. Sahibzada Farhan and Muhammad Hurreria shared a 68-run partnership for the first wicket. Sahibzada Farhan scored 52 runs in 69 balls and Muhammad Hurreria scored 39 runs in 30 balls. After the dismissal of these two batsmen, no big partnership was seen.

Panthers bowler Mohammad Hasnain took 5 wickets for 74 runs in 10 overs. He took the wickets of Saud Shakeel (24), Qasim Akram (65), Asif Ali (10), Faheem Ashraf (41), and Abbas Afridi (6). Hasnain also won the Player of the Match title for his brilliant bowling. Apart from this, Osama Mir and Mubasair Khan took 2-2 wickets, while captain Shadab Khan took one wicket.
