Cheteshwar Pujara was a part of the Indian team in the last Border-Gavaskar series.

Pujara, who has been dropped from the Test team for a long time, will be seen in a different role in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy this time. Pujara is at number four in the list of Indian batsmen who have scored the most runs in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Pujara has not played any Test match for India since the final match of the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23.
