Irfan Pathan has tweeted about Ishaan and Iyer, which is now going viral.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has removed Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer from the annual contract list released on 28 February. There is a lot of uproar in the cricket world on this. Meanwhile, Team India’s former veteran all-rounder Irfan Pathan made a tweet regarding these two players which is now rapidly going viral on social media.
He wrote in his tweet, both Shreyas and Ishaan are talented cricketers. Hopefully they will bounce back and come back stronger. If players like Hardik don’t want to play red-ball cricket, should he and others like him participate in white-ball domestic cricket when not on national duty? If this does not apply to everyone, Indian cricket will not be able to achieve the desired results!
Cameron Green scored a century
Former head coach head coach Ravi Shastri was also seen in support of Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan. He tweeted on Twitter, “In the game of cricket, comebacks define emotion. Chin up, Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan! Test yourself, face the challenges and come back even stronger. Your past achievements speak volumes, and I have no doubt that you will prevail once again.
Apart from this, in the ongoing Wellington Test match against New Zealand, Australian all-rounder Cameron Green has saved the team’s honor by scoring a brilliant century. He is present at the crease after scoring 103 runs.
Looking at the BCCI Central Contract, VVS Laxman has said that it is great to see that the commitment to representing the country in the biggest format of the game and keeping oneself match ready by playing domestic cricket is being emphasized on. Priority is being given through BCCI’s annual contracts. It is also a wonderful step to give contracts to emerging fast bowlers so that they can work without insecurities looming over their heads.
