1989: Fourth ODI hat-trick in history
On October 14, 1989, the world witnessed the fourth ODI hat-trick in history in the Champions Trophy match played between Pakistan and West Indies in Sharjah. Chasing 251, West Indies were on course to win at 209/5. Then, Wasim Akram bowled Jeff Dujon, Malcolm Marshall and Curtly Ambrose in three consecutive balls. West Indies were all out for 239 and Akram took five wickets for 38 runs.
1999: A tight contest between India and New Zealand ends in a draw
A tough match between India and New Zealand ended in a draw in Mohali. India were all out for 83 in the first innings, and then scored 505/3D with the help of centuries from Rahul Dravid (144) and Sachin Tendulkar (126). New Zealand needed 374 runs to win, and they scored 251/7 in 135 overs to draw the match.
