In the T20 World Cup 2022, India played its first match against Pakistan. While chasing the target of 160 runs, India lost 4 wickets at the score of 31. After this there was an important partnership of 113 runs between Hardik Pandya and Virat Kohli. The game turned there when Virat hit consecutive sixes against Haris Rauf during the 19th over. India needed 16 runs to win in the last over. The wickets of Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik also fell but still the team managed to win by 4 wickets. Virat Kohli played a brilliant inning of 82 runs in 53 balls, which is the best inning of his entire career.

Afghanistan registered its first win against Pakistan in Chennai
