On 30 August 2016, Trent Bridge witnessed one of the most explosive batting displays in ODI history. Led by Alex Hales’ brilliant 171 off 122 balls, England made 444 for 3 against Pakistan, setting a new world record for the highest team score in ODIs.
The record stood until June 2018 and it was only England that raised the bar further by scoring 481 against Australia.
