South Africa’s star batsman David Miller recently shared his feelings after losing the T20 World Cup final. He told what emotions he went through when Suryakumar Yadav caught his catch on the boundary rope.

Speaking to ESPNcricinfo, Miller said, “It is very difficult to explain, but yes, I was angry at that moment. Disappointment, failure, all these negative things came to my mind. I watch a lot of different sports and they always talk about that moment when you get a chance to win the game. Maybe that was that moment for me. But it didn’t happen. I took it very hard. I felt like I let down my country, myself and my teammates. At that moment, I didn’t even feel like leaving the field.”

Moreover, when David Miller was asked if he would have changed anything if he played that shot again, he said that it was all a matter of small differences and he could not get the right connection with the ball.

Miller said, “No, maybe I would have made a little better contact in the shot. I was not expecting a full toss at all. I always have a full toss in my mind, but it surprised me a little and my contact went a little wrong. However, the wind was blowing slightly in the opposite direction, which made it a little difficult for the ball to fly. I felt I put enough power on the ball, but it could not cross the boundary line.”
