Today i.e. on 31st October, all the franchises of the Indian Premier League have to announce the list of their retained players for the upcoming 2025 season. With this, Indian Premier League franchise Delhi Capitals has announced the names of its retained players.

Delhi Capitals has retained Axar Patel for Rs 16.5 crore for the upcoming season, while the list also includes the best spinner Kuldeep Yadav who has been retained for Rs 13.25 crore. Let us tell you that, both of them are not one of the important players of Team India and both of them left their mark in IPL 2024 also.

South Africa’s explosive batsman Tristan Stubbs has also been retained. Delhi franchise has retained him for Rs 10 crore. The fourth player in this list is Abhishek Porel who has been retained for Rs 4 crore.

Delhi Capitals released Rishabh Pant

The most surprising thing is that the Delhi franchise has released its captain and aggressive wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant. Even though the performance of the four retained players was excellent in the Indian Premier League 2024, Rishabh Pant has been one of the most important players of the Delhi team.

Even though the Delhi franchise could not make it to the IPL 2024 playoffs under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant, he won the hearts of all the fans with his explosive batting. However, it can also be seen that in the mega auction of 2025, Delhi Capitals franchise can include Rishabh Pant back in its team through Right to Match card.

Apart from Rishabh Pant, the team has not retained many other strong players which also include the names of Mitchell March, Mukesh Kumar, Khalil Ahmed and Jake Fraser-McGurk.
