DC vs MI: Jake Fraser McGurk won POTM award against Mumbai, scored 84 runs in 27 balls

Today, on Saturday, April 27, we got to see the 43rd match of the ongoing season of IPL 2024 between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians (DC vs MI). Let us tell you that due to excellent performance in this match, Delhi has won by 10 runs. This is Delhi’s 5th overall win in the ongoing IPL season, and with this win they have reached 5th position in the points table.

Also, let us tell you that in this match, young batsman Jake Fraser McGurk played an important role in helping Delhi win against Mumbai. Opening for Delhi, McGurk played a stormy innings of 84 runs in 27 balls. During this innings he hit 11 fours and 5 skyscraper sixes. So for this innings he has been given the Player of the Match Award (POTM).

If we give you detailed information about the match, Mumbai won the toss and invited Delhi Capitals to bat first. Whereas Delhi batted in a stormy manner in the match and scored 257 runs at the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs.

Jack Fraser McGurk and Abhishek Porel, who came to open for Delhi, gave the team a strong start by making a partnership of 114 runs for the first wicket. McGurk contributed 84 runs while Porel contributed 36 runs. Apart from this, Shay Hope scored 41 runs and Rishabh Pant scored 29 runs. So in the end Tristan Stubbs remained unbeaten by scoring 48* and Akshar Patel scored 11*.

On the other hand, when Mumbai set out to chase this target from Delhi, it could only score a total of 247 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs, and lost the match by 10 runs. For Mumbai, Tilak Verma scored 63 runs and Hardik Pandya scored 46 runs. In the end, Tim David played an inning of 37 runs in 17 balls, but he could not lead his team to victory.

In the last season of IPL, Tushar took 17 wickets in 13 matches played for five-time champion CSK, while Tushar played an important role in making Chennai the champion in the year 2023.
