Delhi vs Mumbai: What was the turning point of the match? (DC vs MI Turning Point of Match)?

1. Poor start by the openers

The first mistake that Mumbai Indians made while chasing the target was that there was no good partnership between the opening batsmen. The team lost 3 important wickets inside the powerplay which were of Rohit Sharma (8 runs), Ishan Kishan (20 runs) and Suryakumar Yadav (26).

After a bad start, Mumbai Indians’ innings was handled well by Tilak Verma and Hardik Pandya. A good partnership was blossoming between the two but Delhi’s impact player Rasikh Dar Salam gradually changed the hopes of Mumbai, who were gaining ground in the match.

2, Rasikh Dar Salaam gave two blows to Mumbai in one over.

Rasikh gave two blows to Mumbai in the 13th over of the innings. He first dismissed Hardik Pandya who could only score 46 runs in 24 balls. Hardik looked in good form today and he was batting with the hope of playing a match-winning innings. But Rasikh not only broke a good partnership by dismissing Pandaya and Nehal Wadhera in the same over but also brought Mumbai to its knees.

3. Tilak Verma failed to bring victory

Wickets were falling one after the other and Tilak Verma was under pressure to ensure victory. He scored a half-century but failed to select the right shot in his panic. As a result, he was out on the first ball of the 20th over after scoring 63 runs in 32 balls. Tilak Verma could have easily won the match for Mumbai on his own in the last over, but as soon as he was out, Mumbai’s remaining hopes were also shattered and Delhi won the match.
