After Rohit Sharma retired from T20, Suryakumar Yadav was appointed the captain of Team India’s T20 format. In the series against Sri Lanka, Suryakumar Yadav led Team India in this format and also helped India win the series. Despite being made the captain of the team, Suryakumar Yadav has said that one of his wishes remains unfulfilled.
Suryakumar Yadav wants a place in the Test team
According to Suryakumar Yadav, he wants to get a place in India’s Test team again. Let us tell you that, to get a place in the Test team, Buchi Babu will play domestic cricket. Not only this, Suryakumar said that joining the Test team is not in his hands, but playing in the domestic competition is in his hands, so he wants to perform well so that he can be selected in the team.
What did Suryakumar say about returning to the Test team?
“There are many players who have worked hard to make their place in the Test team. I also want to make a place in that Test team. After making my debut for India in Tests, I got injured. Many players got opportunities and did well. They are the players who deserve a chance at this time. Going forward, if I have to play, it is not in my control. Right now the only thing in my control is that I play this tournament (Buchi Babu), then play Duleep Trophy and then we will see what happens.”
When is Duleep Trophy and Buchi Babu Tournament starting?
