Former Indian player Dinesh Karthik announced his retirement from all formats of the game after IPL 2024. After this, Royal Challengers Bangalore has appointed him as mentor-cum-batting coach. Karthik will be seen playing for Paarl Royals in the third season of SA20.

Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik has recently selected the all-time Indian playing 11, in which he has included five batsmen, two all-rounders, two spinners, and two fast bowlers.

Virender Sehwag and Rohit Sharma got place in playing 11 as openers

Dinesh Karthik has selected Virender Sehwag and Rohit Sharma as openers in his all-time playing 11. Both the batsmen are known for their aggressive batting. Virender Sehwag has a strike rate of 100 in white ball cricket and 82.23 in Tests. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma is the highest run-scorer for India in the recent T20 World Cup 2024, scoring 257 runs at a strike rate of 156.70.

Dravid, Tendulkar and Kohli in the middle order

Dinesh Karthik has again placed former Indian coach Rahul Dravid at number 3, master-blaster Sachin Tendulkar at number 4 and Virat Kohli at number 5. Rahul Dravid is called The Wall of Indian cricket, he has scored more than 24 thousand runs for India, which includes 48 centuries and 146 half-centuries. Sachin Tendulkar has scored 100 centuries for India, and he is the only batsman in the world to do this feat.

All-rounders- Yuvraj Singh and Ravindra Jadeja

Karthik has included Yuvraj Singh and Ravindra Jadeja in his team as all-rounders. Yuvraj Singh is considered India’s best all-rounder, he played a big role in India’s victory in the T20 World Cup 2007 and ODI World Cup 2011. Ravindra Jadeja, on the other hand, has shown his prowess with the ball and bat in all three formats for India for the last 10 years.

Dinesh Karthik has included Ravichandran Ashwin and legendary bowler Anil Kumble as spinners in his playing 11. At the same time, Jaspreet Bumrah and former player Zaheer Khan have been included in the fast bowling department. Jaspreet Bumrah is currently India’s best bowler in all three formats. At the same time, Zaheer Khan has taken more than 600 wickets in international cricket for India.
