Duleep Trophy 2024 Day 2 Highlights: The current season’s Duleep Trophy tournament has started on 5th September. The first match is being played between India A and India B at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, while the second match is being played between India C and India D at Gramin Vikas Trust Stadium, Anantapur.

In this article, we are going to tell you about the main events that happened during these two matches. Talking about the main points of the second day’s play, in the first match, Mushir Khan played a marathon innings of 181 runs. In the second Test match, Manav Suthar took 5 wickets for India C, and Shreyas Iyer scored a half-century.

Highlights from Day 2 of India A vs India B match

Talking about the highlights of day two, India B resumed at 202 and after adding 119 runs to the innings, the team lost all its wickets at a total score of 321 runs.

However, Musheer Khan batted brilliantly and firstly, he shared a 205-run partnership for the 8th wicket with Navdeep Saini (56) to help the team recover from the difficult situation. At the same time, Musheer’s innings against India A helped India B, who had lost 7 wickets for 94 runs at one stage, to reach a good score.

At the end of the day’s play, India A has scored 134 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 35 overs in the first innings. Riyan Parag 27* and KL Rahul 23* are currently at the crease. Openers Mayank Agarwal 36 and Shubman Gill are out after scoring 25 runs. For India B, only Navdeep Saini has got two wickets so far. Saini bowled out Gill with a brilliant ball.

Highlights from Day 2 of India C vs India D match

Talking about the second match on the second day, India C started the first innings at 91 runs for 3 wickets, and the whole team was all out at 168 runs after 62.2 overs. Baba Indrajit, who is called the legend of domestic cricket, proved himself once again by playing a brilliant innings of 72 runs. While for India D, fast bowler Harshit Rana’s 4 wickets were the center of attraction.

At the end of the day’s play, India D has scored 206 runs at the loss of 8 wickets after 49 overs. Akshar Patel (11) and Harshit Rana are currently at the crease. India D’s lead over India C has increased to 202 runs.

Apart from this, Shreyas Iyer (54) and Devdutt Padikkal (56) scored half-centuries for India D today, which are good signs before India’s series against Bangladesh begins. Both players can be selected in Team India during this series.
