Duleep Trophy 2024: Major changes have been made in the squads of the three teams participating in the ongoing Duleep Trophy. Players like Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Kuldeep Yadav who play for India A have been dropped from the team.

However, this change has not been made to exclude them from the team, rather all these players have been selected in the Indian team for the upcoming Bangladesh Test series, due to which they will no longer be seen playing in the Duleep Trophy.

Big changes in Dilip Trophy squad

Let us tell you that India’s Senior Men’s Committee has announced the changes in the teams for the second round of Duleep Trophy, to be held from September 12 today on 10 September. India A captain Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, Kuldeep Yadav and Akashdeep, who were selected for the Test series against Bangladesh, will not be seen playing in the next round.

In place of these players, Pratham Singh, Akshay Wadkar, Sheikh Rasheed and Shams Mulani have been included in the India A squad. Mayank Agarwal will now captain the India A team in place of Gill.

On the other hand, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant have been selected for the Test tour from India B, who will be replaced by Suyash Prabhudesai and Rinku Singh in the India B team. Apart from this, after getting the national call-up for the first time, Yash Dayal will also not be seen playing for the team now. Himanshu Mantri of MP has been included in the India B team in his place. Apart from this, Sarfaraz Khan, who has been selected for the Test tour, will be seen playing in the second round.

Apart from this, Akshar Patel has got a place in the India D team, who will be replaced by Nishant Sandhu. Apart from this, Vidwat Kaverappa will be seen playing for the India D team in place of injured Tushar Deshpande.
