The second day of the Duleep Trophy 2024 has ended. By the end of the second day, India D has scored 206 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their second innings. Axar Patel is at the crease with 11 runs while Harshit Rana is yet to open his account.

Earlier, India C scored 168 runs after losing all wickets in their first innings. Baba Indrajit batted brilliantly for the team and scored 72 runs in 149 balls with the help of 9 fours while Abhishek Porel contributed 34 runs. Rajat Patidar scored 13 runs while Aryan Juyal scored 12 runs. Apart from these four players, no other batsman could cross the 10 run mark.

For India D, Harshit Rana took four wickets while Saransh Jain and Axar Patel took two wickets each. Arshdeep Singh and Aditya Thackeray took 1 wicket each.

Captain Shreyas Iyer played a valuable half-century innings for India D

For India D, captain Shreyas Iyer scored 54 runs in 44 balls with the help of 9 fours and 1 six while Devdutt Paddikal contributed 56 runs. Ricky Bhui scored 44 runs while Atharva Tayde was out on a personal score of 15 runs. KS Bharat scored 16 runs.

For India C, Manav Suthar bowled lethally and took 5 wickets for 30 runs in 15 overs. He did not let the players of India D dominate him in this innings and maintained the pressure by taking wickets at regular intervals. Apart from Manav Suthar, Vijaykumar Vyshak has taken two wickets. The third day of the game will be very important for both the teams. India D has taken a lead of 202 runs in this match so far. The team will look to score as many runs as possible on the third day of the game.
