Devdutt Padikkal could score only 1 run in the second innings against India-A.
In the third match of the second round of Duleep Trophy 2024, India-A defeated India-D by 186 runs. Chasing a target of 488 runs, India-D was all out for 301 runs. This is India-D’s second consecutive defeat under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer, the team is at the bottom of the points table.

Devdutt Padikkal played a brilliant innings of 92 runs in the first innings against India-A. But in the second innings, Shams Mulani bowled him. Shams Mulani bowled the 32nd over of India-D’s second innings.
Shams Mulani got good turn and bounce on the last ball of the over. Devdutt tried to drive and was beaten by the inside edge. Devdutt Padikkal could score only one run in 5 balls.

Devdutt was not selected in the Indian team for the Test series against Bangladesh
Devdutt Padikkal has not got a place in Team India for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. Devdutt made his Test debut for India in the series against England this year. He scored 65 runs while batting at number-4 in the first innings of the fifth Test.
Devdutt performed brilliantly in Ranji Trophy 2024. Devdutt scored 556 runs in 6 innings at an average of 92.67, which included 6 centuries. Recently, Padikkal’s performance was also good in the Maharaja Trophy. He scored 253 runs at an average of 25.30 and a strike rate of 140.56.
