A four-match T20 series is currently being played between England and Pakistan (ENG vs PAK). The first match of this series was to be played in Leeds on 22 May, but this match did not take place due to rain. But now the second T20 match between the two teams will be played on Saturday, 25 May at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
However, this series is very important in view of England’s preparations before the T20 World Cup. But if regular captain Jos Buttler does not captain the team in this series, then in his absence all-rounder Moeen Ali is seen captaining the team. So now he has given a big statement about handling this role in the English team.
Moeen Ali gave a big statement
Let us tell you that on taking over the captaincy of the England cricket team, Moeen Ali said as per Daily Mail- When I was the vice-captain of the team, Jos Buttler did not play at that time. At that time I played matches as the vice-captain of the team. I am very satisfied with this role. If I become the captain of the team, then not much will change. It has nothing to do with that. We are all on the same page.
Moeen further said- If I am playing well, I want to continue playing. If I am not able to play in the World Cup, then I can decide about my career. At present there is no fixed time for this. But if I am playing well and my body supports me, then I can continue playing as long as possible.
